Lahore High Court’s New App Allows Tracking Case Hearings

Lahore High Court (LHC) has launched a new smartphone app to keep the public informed about court hearings.

According to details, information about court proceedings will be accessible through the High Court’s website and mobile app. The project’s implementation has begun following the approval of Chief Justice Aaliya Neelum this month.

Chief Justice Aaliya Neelum has assigned the task to the Additional Registrar IT, Jamal Ahmed. This will make LHC the only high court in Pakistan to introduce this facility. Perhaps other courts in the country will follow in its footsteps later on, but it remains to be seen.

Tracking court case hearings through a mobile app should offer several benefits. Users will be able to access case updates anytime, anywhere, without needing to visit the court. It should ensure greater transparency in judicial proceedings by providing real-time updates. It will also help save time by reducing the need for frequent visits or calls to the court.

Additionally, it should make legal information more accessible to the public, especially for those in remote areas. It should also streamline communication between courts, lawyers, and litigants, improving overall efficiency and saving costs associated with travel and paperwork for case tracking.

Keep in mind that the LHC project is still in the works, so the smartphone app is not available yet. We will update you as soon as the app is released to the public.
