The Peshawar administration has implemented new safety measures by banning the sale of junk food near schools and prohibiting aerial firing, especially in areas surrounding the airport, according to ARY News.
In a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Peshawar:
The district administration emphasized that these measures are essential for protecting students and ensuring community safety. Officials have urged strict adherence to the regulations, assuring that compliance will be closely monitored and violators will face legal consequences.
Earlier, the DC of Multan took similar preventive measures by banning the sale of a specific candy named “Strawberry Quick,” identified as a potential “deadly poison” allegedly used to distribute crystal meth to children. Parents have been advised to remain vigilant and prevent their children from accepting suspicious threats.
Both initiatives reflect the local government’s commitment to addressing rising concerns over child safety and public security. The prompt enforcement of these bans demonstrates proactive steps toward curbing drug abuse among children and ensuring the overall well-being of the community.
Authorities encourage residents to report any violations to support the district administration’s efforts to maintain a safer environment for all.
