Pakistan to Compete in FIH Hockey Nations Cup in Kuala Lumpur

Pakistan hockey will get another chance to showcase its skills on the global stage after confirmation that it will be one of the countries participating in the third edition of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup, scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur from June 15 to 21. The tournament will feature eight teams, with the champion earning a coveted spot in the 2025-26 FIH Hockey Pro League.

The participating nations include Pakistan, France, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Wales, as confirmed by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). With Pakistan Hockey in dire straits, any international competition is welcome news for the PHF as it looks to get back on its feet.

The FIH Hockey Nations Cup was introduced in 2021 to provide high-level competition for teams outside the FIH Pro League. It also offers the winning side a chance at promotion. Pakistan, a former hockey powerhouse, aims to use this platform to reclaim its international glory.
