The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that it will provide free iftar boxes during the highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final match between South Africa and New Zealand. The match is set to take place on March 5 at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Similar to how ICC offered iftar boxes for the Champions Trophy matches in Dubai, PCB will do the same for the fans who will attend the semi-final in Lahore. Fans attending the match with valid tickets will have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary iftar box, which will include dates, juice, and a mini pizza. This initiative aims to enhance the matchday experience for spectators, allowing them to break their fast while enjoying the thrilling action on the field.
In the other semi-final, India defeated Australia to book their place in the final. After winning the toss, Australia opted to bat first with Travis Head looking dangerous. However, Mohammad Shami and India’s reliable spin attack kept the Aussie in check with regular wickets, restricting them to a manageable total of 264.
In response, Rohit Sharma and co. came out to chase down the total. Despite a few scares, including the wicket of Shubman Gill, India managed to keep things under control, thanks to a brilliant knock by Virat Kohli who scored 89 off 98 balls.
The winner of the semi-final will advance to face India in the final, which has been relocated to Dubai following India’s victory over Australia in the other semi-final.
