Apple has introduced the eleventh-generation iPad (2025) alongside its latest iPad Air models, bringing minor upgrades over its predecessor. While it retains the same design, it now features a lower-power version of the A16 chip, more base storage, and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
The iPad (2025) keeps the same design as its 2022 predecessor, featuring an 11-inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate. This ensures a bright and clear viewing experience, but without ProMotion, users will not see the smoother 120Hz refresh rate found in higher-end iPads.
The Touch ID sensor remains integrated into the power button and the flat-edged aluminum frame maintains its modern look. The device is available in four colors: Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow.
The iPad (2025) is powered by a modified version of the A16 chip, first introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro series. However, this binned version has one fewer CPU and GPU core, offering slightly lower performance than its smartphone counterpart.
Apple has not revealed the exact RAM capacity, but given that this model does not support Apple Intelligence, it likely has less than 8GB of RAM. A key upgrade is the increase in base storage, which now starts at 128GB, replacing the previous generation’s 64GB option.
Another minor change is the upgrade to Bluetooth 5.3, which replaces Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring better connectivity with newer accessories.
The iPad (2025) retains the dual 12MP camera system, good for video calls, document scanning, and casual photography. Apple hasn’t introduced any major enhancements in this area.
Apple has not specified any changes to the battery, meaning users can expect similar “all-day battery life” as the previous generation. Like before, the iPad (2025) charges via USB-C.
Pricing starts at $349/€399/£329 for the Wi-Fi-only model, while the cellular version costs $499/€569/£479. Pre-orders are available now, with deliveries starting on March 12.
