Karachi’s traffic police have decided to strictly enforce helmet regulations on three major roads to enhance road safety and minimize motorcycle accidents. The initiative aims to ensure that riders comply with safety measures before entering high-traffic routes.
According to DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah, motorcyclists without helmets will be barred from using Shahrah-e-Faisal, Metropole to Clifton Bridge, and PIDC to the Saudi Consulate.
These roads have been designated model routes where strict compliance will be observed.
“We are initially focusing on these three roads, and no motorcyclist will be allowed to enter without a helmet,” he stated.
Authorities will launch an awareness campaign during Ramadan to educate riders on helmet safety. However, following the holy month, strict penalties will be imposed on violators.
Additionally, Karachi’s traffic police will introduce a modern locking system for parked motorcycles. This system ensures that bikes can only be unlocked once the rider presents a helmet. Each section officer will be equipped with 50 such locks to enforce compliance effectively.

All you have to do just give 500 ,1000 rupees to the police and all things are allowed
On Shahrah-e-Faisal, most of the times people who are without helmets or the one’s going wrong side are Police or TrafficPolice themselves!!

Kindly ur self check the traffic from Garu Mander to Tower, all traffic Signals are removed forcely, u train staff is working, even in side Saddar area too. It is looking that heaps are in jungles, many miss apps are in under, but not on electronics media. Polices are busy stopped vehicles, no any mind to controll the traffic but collection of money.
Sir again request u plz, ur self visit roads any time. Karachi traffics are very famous in R/pindi but worst than Multan also. If not believing see/watch ursekf as lay man on roads.
Helmets were compulsory, and now three roads as model… Seriously, would question the kind set of our police…. Simply junk. Helmets are mandatory requirements across the workd for safety… No exceptions.. These so called police top brass should understand this….
It is much better for helmet implementation on every biker on every road why only 3 road pathetic police with pathetic decision
