Padel’s rising popularity in Pakistan has prompted the Pakistan Padel Federation (PPF) to announce plans for the National Padel Championship, scheduled for April 11 to 13 at Padelverse. Organized under the guidance of the International Padel Federation and Padel-Asia, the event promises to be a landmark moment in the country’s sporting calendar.
The championship will feature three competitive categories—men’s, women’s, and mixed—providing a platform for players of all levels to showcase their skills. In an effort to promote the sport and encourage widespread participation, the PPF is offering free National Padel Licenses to all participants. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to establish a national ranking system, with all results updated on the PPF website.
Adding to the excitement, cash prizes totaling up to PKR one million will be awarded to winners, first runners-up, and second runners-up across all categories. This substantial prize pool is expected to further boost the competitive spirit among the players.
Moreover, the championship will serve as a key selection ground for Pakistan’s national padel team. A dedicated selection committee will closely monitor performances, with top players earning the opportunity to represent Pakistan at the upcoming Asian Padel Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, scheduled for October this year.
This event is set to not only elevate the status of padel in Pakistan but also unearth new talent ready to shine on the international stage. Fans and aspiring players alike are eagerly anticipating the championship, which is poised to usher in a new era of competitive padel in the nation.
