43,000 Textbooks Stolen From Govt School in Punjab

In the district of Tounsa in Punjab, more than 43,000 government textbooks were stolen from a government school warehouse. A case has been registered at Tounsa City Police Station against the Assistant Education Officer, alleging that 43,665 textbooks were stolen from the Boys High School’s warehouse.

The police have filed a case against seven individuals, including school guards and warehouse custodians, for their involvement in the theft, and investigations have commenced.

According to reports, the stolen textbooks were meant to be distributed to government schools in Tounsa later this month.
