In a key development for Pakistan-UAE relations, the United Arab Emirates has reportedly resolved previous visa challenges for Pakistani citizens, allowing them to now apply for five-year visas, Geo News reported.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi at the Governor House in Karachi. UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi also attended the meeting.
Governor Tessori acknowledged the UAE’s continued investment in Sindh and Karachi, calling it a sign of deepening bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Al Zaabi extended an invitation to the governor to visit the UAE visa centre set up in Karachi, which is expected to improve visa processing for local applicants.
The ambassador praised the Governor’s Initiative, highlighting its development focus, and assured full support from the UAE for collaborative efforts between the two sides.
As part of his visit, Ambassador Al Zaabi participated in a tree plantation drive and joined the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Governor House.
He also penned his remarks in the guest book, describing the moment as a reflection of the strong and growing friendship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
