Mohammad Rizwan Scores First Century of PSL X

Mohammad Rizwan answered his critics in sublime fashion with a stunning century in his first game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X against Karachi Kings at the National Bank Cricket Arena.

Rizwan’s innings not only helped Multan gain the upper hand against Karachi but also marked the first century of the tournament, taking him to the top of the run-scoring charts already. Rizwan’s innings was characterized by a blend of trademark patience and aggression. After making his intentions clear from the very first over, the Sultans’ captain took his foot off the gas as he kept losing his running mates. After reaching his 50 off 38 balls, he let loose as he found an able partner in Michael Bracewell.

After smacking the ball around in the latter stages of Multan’s innings, Mohammad Rizwan eventually reached the century landmark off just 61 balls. Bracewell was equally impressive in his PSL debut, scoring 44 off just 17 balls to help the Sultans reach 234/3, the highest score of this tournament thus far. His second PSL ton also sends a message to team management as he continues to make a case for a recall to Pakistan’s T20 side.

Rizwan’s innings also ensures that Multan Sultans donate a significant sum to their efforts in helping the people of Palestine.

Karachi Kings will have a say in how the wicketkeeper-batter’s innings is remembered as they set off to chase the massive target, but one thing is certain: Mohammad Rizwan means business in PSL X.
