Latest PSL X Points Table After Qalandars Rout Kings

The Lahore Qalandars obliterated Karachi Kings on their turf to flex their PSL X credentials once more and consolidate their position in the league’s points table.

Choosing to bat first, dominant half-centuries from Fakhar Zaman and Daryl Mitchell powered the Qalandars’ innings, which ended with 201/6 on the board. Fakhar (76 off 47) continued his rich vein of form with an innings laced with six boundaries and five sixes, laying the foundation with an 87-run stand alongside Mitchell. The New Zealander was the aggressor in that partnership, smashing 75 off 41 balls at a blistering strike rate of 182.92. Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza’s late cameo ensured Lahore breached the 200-mark.

Hasan Ali was the lone bright spot for Karachi, claiming 4 for 28 in a fiery spell, but received little support from his fellow bowlers as the Qalandars batters tore into a wayward attack.

Any hopes Karachi had of repeating their heroics as they did against Multan were extinguished within four deliveries by Shaheen Afridi, who sent David Warner and James Vince packing in the very first over. Karachi Kings never got their chase back on track, with Rishad Hossain, Sikandar Raza, and Asif Afridi not giving their batters an inch.

The writing was on the wall for Karachi, and while some semblance of fightback from Hasan Ali and Khushdil Shah restored some pride, Karachi was never a threat and fell short by 65 runs.

Latest PSL X Points Table After Kings vs. Qalandars

Position Team Matches Wins Losses Ties No Result Points Net Run Rate
1 Islamabad United 2 2 0 0 0 4 3.248
2 Lahore Qalandars 3 2 1 0 0 4 2.051
3 Quetta Gladiators 2 1 1 0 0 2 0.025
4 Karachi Kings 2 1 1 0 0 2 -1.417
5 Multan Sultans 1 0 1 0 0 0 -0.507
6 Peshawar Zalmi 2 0 2 0 0 0 -4.550

The win could be a season-defining one for the Qalandars. Not only does it keep them second on the PSL X points table, but it also boosts their net run rate significantly—something that could be vital in a tightly packed race. Karachi, on the other hand, will need to regroup ahead of some crucial fixtures and get their net run rate back on track.

PSL X will continue to motor along tomorrow with Multan Sultans taking on the seemingly unstoppable Islamabad United.
