Popular action platformer Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has made its debut on mobile devices and is now available for both iOS and Android platforms. It was previously limited to PC and console gamers.
The title comes with a price tag, though players can also try out the game at no cost through a trial version. Consumers who purchase the complete game prior to May 5 will benefit from a limited-time promotional discount, reducing the cost to $10.
According to Ubisoft, the game functions entirely offline without requiring an active internet connection. Players have the option to choose between touchscreen controls or connect an external controller for gameplay. On select phones and tablets, The Lost Crown delivers performance of up to 60 fps.
Mobile players of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will enjoy exclusive features including systems that automatically trigger parry and use healing potions, plus an option to slow down time. Ubisoft notes that additional convenience features have been added specifically for the mobile version.
While the game launched to critical praise on PC and console platforms in early 2024, the title reportedly underperformed commercially for Ubisoft. Despite positive reviews, sales figures fell short of company projections. Following this performance, Ubisoft dissolved the development team at its Montpelier studio, reassigning most staff members to “other projects that will benefit from their expertise.”
The mobile conversion was handled by Ubisoft Da Nang, the same development group responsible for bringing the game to Mac computers in December.
