The Higher Education Department (HED) has imposed a ban on assigning exam duties to computer teachers in future board examinations. Official instructions have been circulated to the controllers of all educational boards, directing them to comply with the decision.
According to the notification, computer teachers will no longer be appointed as superintendents or deputy superintendents during exams.
The department cited that in most schools, IT teachers are the only ones responsible for running computer education, and assigning them exam duties affects regular classes.
The letter further stated that the absence of these teachers during exam periods severely impacts computer education, especially as there are no substitute teachers available to fill in during their absence.
This measure has been taken to ensure the continuity of IT education in schools during examination seasons.
