In a pivotal clash at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Quetta Gladiators lived up to their name, securing a thrilling five-run win over Karachi Kings to keep pace with others in the PSL 2025 standings.
Chasing 143 runs for victory, David Warner’s men crumbled under pressure despite a brilliant start to the chase, eventually falling short of the target. Quetta Gladiators, after being put into bat, posted a total of 142 runs, with Faheem Ashraf’s quickfire 43 off 27 balls, Kusal Mendis’ 36, and Hasan Nawaz’s 35 off 34 balls providing the backbone of the innings.
Hasan Ali was the standout bowler for Karachi Kings, claiming 3 wickets for 33 runs.
In response, Karachi Kings appeared to be cruising toward a win with Tim Seifert and James Vince leading the charge. The Englishman’s dismissal brought the whole house of cards down as Quetta’s disciplined bowling lineup brought them back into the match.
Tim Seifert top-scored with 47 runs, but Mohammad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, and Khurram Shahzad, with 2 wickets each, stifled the Kings’ chase.
