Bangladesh have unveiled a 16-member squad for their upcoming T20I assignments against Pakistan, with wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das officially taking over as captain for the five-match tour. Offspinner Mahedi Hasan has been appointed as vice-captain, marking a new leadership era as the Tigers prepare for a crucial stretch in the run-up to the T20 World Cup.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in Litton’s career, as the 30-year-old takes on full-time captaincy duties for the first time in any format. Litton had previously captained Bangladesh in four T20Is, and the series will mark his return to cricket after he recovered from a finger injury that ruled him out of the ongoing PSL, where he was part of Karachi Kings.
