PSX Announces Holiday on May 28

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on Wednesday, May 28, on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.

“All concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 being public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer,” the main bourse told investors in a notice today.

Youm-e-Takbir is celebrated as a national day in Pakistan on 28 May in commemoration of the Chagai-I and Chagai-II series of nuclear tests. The nuclear tests made Pakistan the seventh nation to possess nuclear weapons and the first in the Muslim world.
