Karachi Kings David Warner Makes an Unusual Request to PCB

With the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) play-offs right around the corner, Karachi Kings captain David Warner wants to take his mind off the eliminator against arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars. And one of the Aussie batter’s favorite hobbies to do just that is playing golf.

The Karachi Kings captain has reached out on social media in search of a golf session at Raya in Lahore. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) that went viral, Warner tagged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Karachi Kings, asking:

Anyone got a contact for Raya in Lahore for golf please, we’ve heard amazing things about it. Thanks you! Been trying for weeks to play there.

Warner’s request quickly caught the attention of fans, who had some hilarious suggestions but also tried to get his word out, so that the Aussie could book his golf session. One fan suggested contacting Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam as he is reportedly a regular at the Defence Raya Golf Resort.

Warner’s request comes after Karachi Kings’ massive defeat to Islamabad United in the final group stage match. Chasing 252, Karachi were bowled out for 172, with Warner top-scoring for his side with 43 off 28 balls. The loss meant that Karachi Kings will now have to face Lahore Qalandars in the eliminator on May 22 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Speaking after the match, David Warner remained positive, urging his team to regroup ahead of the knockout stage. “We can let this one go and focus on winning the remaining three games to secure the silverware. We have a couple of days to regroup, and we must bounce back stronger,” he said.
