David Warner Finally Gets to Play Golf in Lahore

With the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) play-offs approaching, Karachi Kings captain David Warner has finally managed to enjoy a round of golf in Lahore. After his request for a golf session at Defence Raya Golf Resort went viral on social media, it appears someone took notice and helped arrange it.

Warner, who had reached out on X (formerly Twitter) asking for help to play at Raya, received plenty of attention from fans and even suggestions to contact Peshawar Zalmi star Babar Azam. His persistence paid off, and he was able to play at the course. Joining him was his fellow Australian and Karachi Kings teammate, Ben McDermott. The picture of the two at the golf resort went viral on social media.

Warner’s golf break comes after Karachi Kings’ heavy defeat to Islamabad United in their last group match, where Warner top-scored with 43 off 28 balls. The team now faces Lahore Qalandars in the eliminator on May 22 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Despite the loss, David Warner encouraged his team to regroup and focus on the upcoming knockout stage, saying, “We can let this one go and focus on winning the remaining three games to secure the silverware. We have a couple of days to regroup, and we must bounce back stronger.”

With his golf request fulfilled, Warner will be hoping the Kings can bounce back on the field as well.
