Drug Dealers Are Using Delivery Riders for Smuggling

Karachi police have exposed a new method of drug smuggling in the city, with traffickers now using motorcycle riders for online deliveries of the expensive drug, weed.

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) reported a major breakthrough after arresting a suspect named Abdul, who provided key information about the operation. Abdul revealed that the same delivery method was used by Armaghan, the main accused in the Mustafa Amir murder case, to smuggle drugs.

According to the SIU, weed is transported from Iran through Mand, Dahriji, and the Northern Bypass to Saeedabad in Karachi. Abdul identified Hasnain Baloch as a key supplier and leader of the Askani gang, which operates from Iran. The drugs are received in Saeedabad by Hanif Baloch, after which motorcycle riders from affluent areas collect the consignments for delivery.

The SIU said the drug is sold at 35,000 rupees per gram, with payments made online. Riders are given only an address slip and deliver the drugs to specific locations. Police say this method follows earlier attempts to use courier companies for smuggling.
