Student’s Family Brutally Attacks Female Quran Teacher in School

A shocking incident occurred at Al-Badar Higher Secondary School in Lihari, Karachi, when the Head of Islamic Studies (HOD) was brutally attacked by a student’s family for making their child stand outside the classroom for skipping Quran class.

According to reports, the eighth-grade student, Eshal, was punished by being made to stand outside the classroom for 20 minutes. In retaliation, Eshal, her mother, her maternal uncle, and several men—some claiming to be police officers and reportedly armed—entered the school premises.

They demanded to see the HOD and then physically assaulted her, pulling off her niqab and beating her in front of students and staff. Other women who tried to intervene were also attacked, while male staff reportedly did not intervene. The violent scene left students in distress, with many crying in fear.
