The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority has announced the reopening of camping pods at several popular tourist destinations across the province.
The move comes under the direction of Director General Habibullah Arif, who instructed the reopening ahead of the summer travel season to facilitate visitors heading to the scenic northern regions.
According to the authority, camping pods are now accessible at multiple tourist hotspots, including Sharan in Kaghan Valley, Thandiani in Abbottabad, Bamburet in Kalash, Yarkhun Lasht and Sarlaspor in Upper Chitral, Gabin Jabba and Sulatan in Swat Valley, Malka Mahaban and Shaheed Sar in Buner, Allai Maidan in Battagram, Yakh Tangai in Shangla, and Samana in Orakzai.
These areas are known for their natural beauty and attract thousands of travelers each year.
The camping pods offer affordable and safe accommodation for tourists seeking to experience nature more closely. Visitors interested in staying at any of the designated sites can now reserve their spots through an online booking system introduced by the authority to ensure a smooth and convenient process.
Officials added that all necessary facilities have been put in place, and the initiative is aimed at promoting eco-friendly tourism while easing the accommodation burden during peak travel months.
For booking, tourists can call 0341-3135666, while a dedicated tourism helpline is also available at 1422 for further information.
