The federal government is considering a proposal to allocate Rs. 2.869 trillion as the total provincial development budget in the upcoming fiscal year 2025–26, a big increase from Rs. 2.383 trillion allocated in the outgoing fiscal year.
According to budget proposals seen by ProPakistani, Punjab is expected to receive Rs. 1.188 trillion for its development program, while Rs. 887 billion has been proposed for Sindh.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is set to get Rs. 440 billion, and Rs. 280 billion has been proposed for Balochistan.
In addition to domestic funding, Rs. 802 billion is proposed to be allocated through international assistance to support development projects across all provinces.
