A popular tourist destination in Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, has been sealed by Assistant Commissioner Shigar, Faisal Hayat, following a reported violation of local regulations.
According to official statements, Blind Lake, also known as Jarba Zhou, has been sealed ahead of Eid ul Adha because of a few individuals. The action was taken on June 4, after a female tourist was reportedly caught riding a horse at the lake, which was deemed a serious breach of the site’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
