The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sealed a soft drink warehouse on Defence Road and the site offices of two housing schemes, Bostan Housing Scheme and Eastridge Housing Scheme, on Lahore High Court Road.
The action was taken due to serious violations of land use and construction bylaws.
According to RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, the warehouse was operating without proper approvals, while the housing schemes failed to submit required documents, including Transfer Deed and Mortgage Deed.
Despite repeated notices, the developers didn’t comply, prompting the authority to take decisive action.
Kinza Murtaza urged commercial entities to adhere to legal requirements and obtain necessary approvals before starting operations. The public is also encouraged to cooperate in maintaining encroachment-free areas, making Rawalpindi’s streets safer and more accessible.
