PFF Leadership Charts New Course for Pakistan Football

The newly elected leadership of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has outlined its roadmap for reviving and rebuilding football across the country. Under the guidance of President Mohsen Gilani, the Federation’s vice presidents—Hafiz Zakaullah, Naveed Aslam Lodhi, and Dr. Muhammad Ali—have pledged to work hand in hand with every party involved to bring long-term stability and growth to the sport.

Speaking on behalf of the leadership, Hafiz Zakaullah emphasized that the PFF will move forward by involving all stakeholders—players, coaches, technical staff, and the broader football community. “Progress won’t come from the top alone. We are determined to work inclusively and collaboratively to build a football structure that lasts,” he said.

The Federation’s new vision is centered around national cohesion and rebuilding the sport’s foundational systems. The leadership has acknowledged that Pakistan’s football ecosystem has struggled for nearly a decade due to administrative and political instability but insists that now is the time to reverse the decline.

“The last ten years have cost us valuable time in player development and structural growth,” he added. “It’s time to reclaim that lost ground together.”

At the heart of the PFF’s plan is a commitment to equal provincial representation and greater grassroots activity. Gilani’s visit to the Football House symbolized the beginning of a more active and inclusive era, particularly for underserved regions.

Notably, Balochistan’s significant presence on the Federation’s executive committee—with three members each on the executive and the congress—was cited as a key step in giving every province a genuine voice in the sport’s future.

As the PFF settles in under new management, hopes are high that this fresh chapter will mark a turning point—away from years of uncertainty and toward a more professional, united, and community-driven football future in Pakistan.
