The much-anticipated service was met with celebrations, including traditional drum beats, dancing, and flower petals being showered on the train as it arrived.
The restoration of the Sialkot Express fulfills a long-standing demand from the people of Sialkot who have eagerly awaited the return of this vital transport link.
The Station Master confirmed that the Sialkot Express will now operate between Lahore, Wazirabad, and Sialkot, covering the route from Lahore to Sialkot via Wazirabad and back. This service is expected to ease travel for commuters between these cities and strengthen regional connectivity.
“The people of Sialkot have long demanded the restoration of this train service, and today their demand has finally been fulfilled,” the Station Master said, as the community celebrated the return of an important symbol of local pride and convenience.
