Pakistan’s star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is gearing up for a crucial stretch of competitions as he builds toward the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo this September. According to his coach Salman Butt, the Olympic gold medallist will take part in three key events in the coming months, including an appearance at the prestigious Diamond League in Poland.
“Most events are in Europe, and we will also feature in the Diamond League in Poland in August,” Salman Butt confirmed, underlining that the plan is focused on fine-tuning form and rhythm ahead of the global stage.
This competitive window marks an important phase in Arshad’s return to peak condition as he continues to manage his workload carefully. These upcoming events—likely spaced across July and August—will be vital to sharpening his technique and testing himself against top-tier international opposition.
The Diamond League outing in Poland in August, in particular, is expected to serve as a key benchmark. The event typically attracts the best in the world and is one of the few trophies missing from Arshad Nadeem’s cabinet. It’s also the kind of high-pressure setting that the Pakistani will face in the World Athletics Championships.
While the European leg of his calendar is still to be finalised in full, it is expected to feature smaller meets where Arshad can ease into competition mode before stepping onto the Diamond League stage.
With Tokyo 2025 inching closer, Arshad’s team knows the importance of staying healthy and consistent. For now, all eyes turn to Europe as Arshad Nadeem readies himself for another chapter in his extraordinary journey—one that continues to inspire a new generation of Pakistani athletes.
