To address the shortage of nurses in government teaching hospitals, the Punjab government has decided to recruit 3,599 nurses through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
The Specialized Healthcare Department has sent a formal request to the Secretary of PPSC, urging swift completion of the recruitment process. Officials have expressed serious concern over the critical shortage of nursing staff in public teaching hospitals, which is adversely affecting patient care.
In response, the department is actively working to fill the gap by fast-tracking hiring efforts and ensuring that qualified nurses are placed in hospitals as soon as possible.
