The spokesperson of Karachi Water & Sanitation Corporation (KW&SC) on Wednesday clarified that the issue of power breakdown at Dhabeji pumping station had not been resolved despite the passage of 18 hours.
The spokesperson said that water supply was severely affected in most areas of the city due to the power breakdown.
In a statement, Water Corporation spokesperson said that the standby cable at Dhabeji pumping station has also become inoperative. The breakdown occurred at the 100 MG pump house last night.
The spokesperson said that the power breakdown occurred at 11:30 pm, due to which the 100 MG pump house has been completely closed. He said that 100 MGD water was supplied to the city daily from the 100 MG pump house.
