Pakistan Railway’s New App Lets You Follow Trains in Real Time

The Ministry of Railways has officially launched a new mobile app called Track My Train, replacing the outdated Pakistan Railway Tracking System. Announced by Pakistan Railways, the new app aims to enhance convenience for travelers with real-time information.

Key Features

Developed by Mango Tech Solutions, the app offers:

• Real-time train location tracking across the entire network.
• Station-wise arrival and departure times, including delay updates.
• Route details listing all upcoming stops.
• Estimated and actual time comparisons to alert users about delays.

How to Download

Track My Train was launched on June 18, 2025, and is now available on Android and iOS via Google Play and the Apple App Store, having already gained over 100,000 downloads on the former. The platform supports English and Urdu, but not any other local Pakistani languages.

The app includes apps in its free version.

Though not officially endorsed by Pakistan Railways, the app uses publicly available timetables and GPS data. Mango Tech assures users that data is encrypted in transit. However, it does collect device identifiers and may share them with third parties.
