Son of Former Top Pakistan Army Official Murdered Near Red Zone in Islamabad

The murder case of Faheem Sardar, a noted author and national security trainer, has taken a serious turn as Aabpara police failed to make any headway in the investigation.

In response, senior officers SSP Operations Mohammad Shoaib Khan and SSP Investigation Usman Butt have been tasked with leading the probe.

Sardar, who was the son of a retired brigadier and affiliated with a government think tank on national security and strategy, was found murdered at his home in Sector G-6/4, near Covered Market, on Wednesday.

It must be mentioned here that his residence is located just a couple of minutes’ drive away from high high-security Red Zone.

According to the FIR, his wife discovered him tied up and gravely injured after returning home. He was rushed to Polyclinic Hospital by Rescue 1122 but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Initial reports state that he was killed with a sharp-edged weapon. Police have so far checked CCTV footage from nearby houses, conducted geo-fencing, and sent biological samples to Lahore for chemical analysis. However, no solid leads have emerged.

While the motive remains unclear, police have ruled out evidence of theft or premeditated murder so far. Authorities are treating the case as high-profile due to the victim’s background and professional affiliations.
