Punjab Hikes Vehicle and Bike Transfer Fee

Transfer fees for motorcycles and vehicles have been increased by 10% in Punjab, according to City42.

The transfer fee for motorcycles has risen by Rs 55, moving from Rs 550 to Rs 605. For vehicles with engine capacities from 650 to 1000 cc, the fee has increased by Rs 275, now totaling Rs 3,025.

Vehicles between 1000 and 1800 cc see a Rs 550 hike, bringing the new fee to Rs 6,050. For vehicles above 1800 cc, the transfer fee has gone up by Rs 1,100, now set at Rs 12,100. Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTV) also face a Rs 550 increase, with the new fee now at Rs 6,050.

The new transfer fee structure, denominated in rupees, has already been implemented. Excise authorities state that these changes are now in effect for all relevant vehicle categories.
