Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, led a delegation in Washington, D.C. today for a constructive meeting with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer.
During the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the progress made in strengthening trade and economic relations—an essential aspect of the partnership between Pakistan and the United States. They reiterated their shared commitment to seeking new avenues for collaboration that would benefit both nations.
Minister Aurangzeb highlighted the United States’ role as Pakistan’s leading trading partner and expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to broaden cooperation, particularly in sectors such as information technology, minerals, and agriculture, alongside traditional areas of trade.
Both sides voiced optimism that the ongoing trade negotiations would deliver positive results, supporting economic growth in both countries.
