Heavy to moderate rain lashed the city on Wednesday, bringing a welcome drop in temperature. The MET office has forecast more showers in the next 24 hours.
The downpour which began in the early hours and continued intermittently till noon, affected multiple parts of the city.
According to the Wasa data, the highest rainfall was recorded in Tajpura at 115 mm followed by Karim Park, Ravi Road, and Bhatti Gate with 99 mm each. Other significant readings, included Aik Moriya Pull (98 mm), Lakshami Chowk, GPO, Naba Road, Railway Station, Empress Road, and Cooper Road (94 mm each), Rasool Park and Shama Road (75 mm), and Johar Town (35 mm).
On Wednesday highest temperature was recorded in Dalbandin at 46 C, while Lahore experienced 34C.
