Pakistan’s journey toward electric mobility just hit a major milestone—the Riddara RD6 electric pickup truck has been officially spotted in Karachi, signaling that its long-anticipated launch is almost here.
First teased back in May, the RD6 is being brought to the country by Capital Smart Motors (CSM) and is expected to debut by August or September this year.
Manufactured by Radar Auto, a subsidiary of the Geely Auto Group, the RD6 marks Pakistan’s entry into the electric pickup segment. While CSM has yet to confirm local specs, the version seen globally offers a compelling mix of performance and practicality.
The RD6 is powered by a 315 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering 595 Nm of torque and a top speed of 190 km/h. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest pickups in its class.
Its 86 kWh ternary lithium battery offers an impressive range of up to 455 km on a full charge.
The truck boasts a modern interior with synthetic leather seats, a 10.2-inch digital display, and multi-mode driving options including off-road and sport. Charging is flexible, with fast DC charging (30–80%) taking around 32 minutes.
