The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has selected the design for the new currency notes.
This was announced by State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmad during a press conference in Karachi regarding the decision to maintain the current interest rate on Wednesday.

The governor said that the process of introducing new currency notes is underway, and a design has been selected, one created by an international expert.
Ahmad further mentioned that work on the new currency notes will begin after approval from the Cabinet.

Instead of changing the note design more focus should be on the quality of the sheet used may it be a paper or plastic or in between but should be durable and difficult to copy.
More importantly because of IMF, Govt. is taking measures to use electronic or App based money transfer but to decrease corruption (Rishwat) withdraw 5, 000 currency notes. If people are using app based transfers or payment then there is no need of bigger currency notes of more than 1,000 rupee currency note.

Where is a will, there is a way. So far as bribe is concerned, we, Pakistani people are v smart in this regard. So the process will be ‘continued’, no matter how strict actions are taken.
The same idea could be used to kick out the evil system of corruption. We are not willing to let go of the long infiltrated tradition of bribery which has become the second nature of our country.
People give bribes to traffic police because they threaten people to issue chalans which waste their time and resources, so to avoid that kind of situation they give bribes and think it’s the system.
They give money to patwaries because they give run arounds if you don’t. If everything is streamlined and digital then people don’t have to worry about meeting these patwaries who run businesses on government given title, and possibly giving cuts to people higher up.
This is also true in many other jobs like police, justice system, Wapda, railway, monopoly in business and even how the members of parliament are elected.
5000 note is no matter for bribe takers, they can take the same in £ , dollars, Euro.
No need to change. Just focus on poverty not on design. Current design is perfectly fine. Baba qaid on Pakistani note (rupees) show the legacy of Pakistan, and it’s our pride. This is not a good idea.
what is this clownery lmao the new notes design look immature. and the 1000 note has a triangle the simple of illuminati. it also has a Cross, Chakra and Buddha. how can anyone pray in a mosque with these notes in their pockets? also why the eff are two trees on the 100 rupee note small and two large? what does that supposed to mean? these notes will face a lot of criticism. it better not to issue them.
These are submissions from the design contest. Pro Pakistani does things like this as click bait. Actual designs will be fine like the current ones are.

State Bank will change the currency only when it receive GREEN signal from MAFIA PAKISTAN that they have converted looted money into dollar, after that Pak Rupees currency value against DOLLAR will increased and dollar will be depreciated.

1- They remove Quaid-e -Azam pic
2 – The cross+ simbel of Christians

Finalizing the changing of country’s cruncy notes is a good sign/ news and also a good thing about dismissal of fake cruncy notes from market.
I am also glad to know about concern of IMF to inforced or suggest to our govt for using digital payment system in country bcz it is very impor for growth of revenue collection on automatic way of collection.
It is suggested that the new currency note may please be made by plastic or fiber material, other developed countries, currency should be untearabl and washable.
We have plenty of Pakistanis who could have done far better.No need to invite in foreigners and waste precious foreign exchange.Where is the Qaid’s picture on the one hundred rupee note?No one else’s picture will be accepted on any currency note or a Pandora’s box will be opened.In any case the design and colour scheme is a total failure.No need to write hundred in Urdu in that small space. Otherwise write ایک سو روپیہ in some other spot on the note.

1000 currency design does not show photo of father of the nation that I didn’t like. Also other side bound appears 4 provinces. This must also be removed.as if pakistan wants to exist and prosper in the world it must be divided among atleast 20/25 provinces/divisions otherwise this country will be governed by dacoits, jagirdars, vaderas as at present these dirty people will be only electable.

Why to pay some foreigner for design of currency notes don’t we have expertise/ talent/ designer/ artists mind people in Pakistan. Also why to print new notes, are they free to print, and what is wrong with current notes in circulation. Government is in capable of curbing corruption or recover black money or else. Like the scam of new ijrak number plates by federal government now.
New currency notes are What I am seeing a glimpse above …… is at all useless and less attractive … It is much better to continue the current notes rather to introduce again … totally non sense.
I think Rs.10 and Rs.20 should be shaped in coins like Rs 5. In different shapes like old 5 and 10 paisa design
All notes must have pic of founder of Pakistan Mr Jinnah.
Rs. 100 is of good Color and design but Rs. 1000 is not with pic of founder and tipical design theme & Color . Other notes not seen yet.
