The Punjab government has officially launched the T-Card — a unified, cashless travel card for Metrobus and Orange Line services.
According to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA), the T-Card will serve as a smart payment solution across the province’s mass transit systems. This rollout is part of the government’s broader e-Transit program, focused on digitizing public services and improving commuter convenience.
Commuters will now be able to travel seamlessly using a single card on both the Metrobus and Orange Line trains, eliminating the need for separate tokens or RFID cards. The change is expected to reduce long queues and waiting times at ticket counters.
Getting a T-Card is made simple. Passengers can apply through the e-Transit Punjab website, the official mobile app, or by calling the helpline at 1762, where agents are available to guide users through the process.
Transport Department officials confirmed that the existing token system will be phased out gradually, with awareness campaigns planned to ensure a smooth transition. The government has urged commuters to adopt the new system promptly to avoid service disruptions.

Cash less card is already used in metro. What is new in this
This one can be used on all transit systems whether orange line train, metro, tram, electric buses.
Important element of this scheme will be making it fool proof from scams and saving poor masses from their cash.

Na, this is only for one person
I just applied, it’s very easy. And you can easily refill it at home with Bank account. You won’t have to search for balances from place to place like with a RFID card.

You have to choose a picking station during the first you applied.
According to them, a notification will be received within a week.
Then card must be picked up from the selected station within the next week, otherwise it will be canceled.
Then you will have to pay 130 rupees.

I have tried the help line you mentioned in the piece, each time after full 5 mins it gets disconnected and during this time you have to listen to a music and a recorded message in an effort to keep your spirits. Nothing will change unless ordinary citizen experience the change. There was nothing new for me in it sadly.

Can i use my T-card to withdraw money from Any ATM????
The name characters should be increased as my name not properly entered IRFAN AKHTAR MAHMOOD MINHAS.
Secondly the expiry date of my CNIC is 25-02-2035 but on app it resticted to 01-01-2035. Kinldy look into the registeration app form and made neccessory corrections
Moreover the lenght of Father and mother name characters should also increased
