The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new service center in Karachi aimed at improving access and reducing the burden on citizens seeking identity-related services.
DG NADRA Sindh, Amir Ali Khan, inaugurated a new NADRA registration facility at the Public Center in Karachi. The center is designed to provide faster and more efficient services to citizens requiring Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and related documentation.
Two Additional Mega Centers
Amir Ali Khan also announced the establishment of two additional NADRA mega centers in Karachi. These centers will help manage the city’s growing demand for identity services. He further stated that support stations, referred to as “madadgaar” setups located outside existing mega centers, will be upgraded to executive status to ensure a more streamlined experience for visitors.
Pak ID Mobile App
The DG urged the public to download NADRA’s official mobile application, Pak ID, which allows users to renew identity documents, complete biometric verification, and access several other NADRA services directly from their homes. The initiative aims to reduce in-person visits and bring more convenience, especially to those living in remote or underserved areas.
According to NADRA officials, the new initiatives are expected to benefit millions, particularly residents who lack direct access to NADRA offices. By combining physical infrastructure with digital solutions, the agency seeks to improve overall service delivery and citizen engagement.
