The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended the requirement for taxpayers to log in to the “IRIS” system using a QR code.
The FBR communicated this decision to the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Regional Secretariat in Peshawar to address a complaint filed against the board.
According to a tax expert, the complaint was related to the IRIS login through QR code. It was clarified that the QR code requirement has been suspended, and the complaint appears to be resolved.
In its letter to the FTO Regional Secretariat Peshawar, the FBR confirmed that the requirement to log in to IRIS via QR code has now been suspended.
