The weather system is currently positioned over southwest Rajasthan in India and adjoining Sindh, continuing to push monsoon winds into the province.

Rain Forecast for Karachi

In Karachi, intermittent rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is expected from tonight until September 11. The city is likely to experience humid and cloudy conditions prior to the rainfall. On Tuesday, heavy to very heavy showers with strong winds are anticipated, raising concerns of urban flooding in several parts of the city.

Areas at Risk

Along with Karachi, multiple districts including Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tharparkar, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, and Hyderabad are also at risk of urban flooding and water accumulation in low-lying areas.
