A Serene Air flight en route from Jeddah to Lahore was diverted to Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, on Monday after the pilot reported a technical issue, according to 24NewsHD.
The captain promptly contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC) in Karachi and requested clearance for an emergency landing, which was granted without delay.
Upon inspection, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials discovered a fuel leakage in the aircraft. Engineers immediately began maintenance and repair work to address the fault.
The flight was originally scheduled to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), Lahore. Most passengers on board were pilgrims returning after performing Umrah.
