Punjab’s Finance Minister, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, has announced that families affected by the recent floods will receive special concessions in electricity bills and various taxes from the provincial government.
Speaking at a flood relief camp in Lahore’s Chuhng area, the minister emphasized that the government will not abandon those impacted by the disaster and will extend comprehensive support under a structured relief package.
Highlighting the significance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), he said the occasion teaches patience, unity, and service to humanity, and the government is determined to stand with the people in their time of hardship.
The minister assured the camp’s residents that all available resources will be utilized to address their daily challenges and ensure the provision of basic facilities.
Flood-affected families present at the camp expressed satisfaction with the minister’s visit and appreciated the relief efforts undertaken by the provincial government.
