Yamaha Officially Ends Motorcycle Production in Pakistan

Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Limited has announced that it will discontinue the manufacturing of motorcycles in the country, citing a change in business policy.

In an official notification issued on Tuesday, the company expressed gratitude to its customers for their continued patronage and support over the years.

“Due to a change in our business policy, we would like to inform you that we will discontinue manufacturing of motorcycles. We sincerely appreciate your long-standing support and loyalty,” the statement read.

While production will cease, Yamaha assured customers that aftersales support will continue in line with the company’s policy. Spare parts will be supplied through YMPK-authorized dealers with adequate stock to meet requirements. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to providing warranty services and customer support under the existing warranty scheme.

“We will continue to do our utmost to support your motorcycle experience, and we are committed to serving you sincerely until the very end,” the statement added.

Yamaha’s decision comes as a major development for Pakistan’s motorcycle market, where the company has built a loyal customer base. Customers can reach Yamaha Motor Pakistan for inquiries via email at [email protected] or WhatsApp at 0314-8899786.

    • Hype created by people of taste and sanity. I would still buy YBRG if I knew it Yamaha would end it’s production in 8 years (I own one since 2017 and love it).

Yamaha pushed the bike industry to bring modern and better options (Honda was changing stickers every year while offering nothing new). It’s sad they didn’t bring 150cc engine or EFI, both would have changed the game for them and everyone.

  • Good, bike acha tha but Bahut ziadah mehnga tha.
they cannot stand against Honda or even Suzuki.

  • But but but but but but we were told that psx is rising to historic highs

We were told that investors trust in pakistan is highest thanks to Lumber 1

    What happened

    • Yamaha wasn’t even listed on psx, and its about market dynamics, highly priced bikes compared to whats available inthe market, obviously the company survival will be difficult

      • Yamaha wasn’t listed but their partners were. We were told how best psx rise is by in reality nothing changed.

    • Wait till honda and Toyota exit from Pakistan, now it’s time for electric vehicles. Japan has lost to china . Lot of new china bikes and car manufacturers have entered in Pakistan in last few years and now the market for Japan made it over.

      • Wrong again. Whether electric or not if nothing is affordable then what do to expect people to do.

Yes japan had lost to China but chinese cars and bikes are also expensive thanks to our govt policies.

    • But but but we were told that Imran khan is our red line and nobody can touch him… But the lumber 1 made that red line bleed… Weldone lumber 1

  • In PAKISTAN market yamaha is the one of the best motorbike. Which is very reliable comfortably is awesome petrol average is around 50km/L.
    Stronger engine.
I think every PAKISTANi wants to buy this bike.
Can i ask ? Why you stop manufacturing? Why not you subletting your company in PAKISTAN. Or give dealership bcuz after 2015 to 2025. After 10years everyone get to know about this powerful. Machine this is right time when everyone wants
Now no need of more marketing now a time start to getting the result of last 10years but you stop manufacturing why ?
As a Yamaha lover i suggested you please don’t stop manufacturing in PAKISTAN its a right time to going up everyone wants yamaha ybr
Now everyone knows about this beauty.

    • They should have brought EFI and 150cc options. Maybe introducing a Yamaha Janoon style 100cc would have helped.

People want to buy Yamaha but due to its build quality and comfort it is expensive as compared to substandard Hondas.

    • They brought improvements to Pakistani motorcycle market and forced other manufacturers to release better motorcycles in Pakistan as well

  • Very disappointing decision. Rather compete the market you guys decide to flee. We being Yamaha user were expecting the launching of new Yamaha models like M15 and other which you guys launched in India recently. Pakistani market has potential specially in motorcycle market and expect the companies to introduce new models.
