Pakistan’s triumphant campaign in the UAE T20I tri-nation series has translated into major gains on the latest ICC Men’s T20I rankings, with several bowlers climbing up the charts following standout performances.
The Green Shirts defeated Afghanistan by 75 runs in the Sharjah final, and it was the bowling unit that drove much of the momentum.
Left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem has jumped seven places to reach 15th after claiming two wickets in the decider, while pace ace Shaheen Afridi moved up four spots to 22nd. Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed made one of the biggest leaps, climbing 39 places to joint-27th thanks to six wickets across just two appearances.
The headline act, however, was Mohammad Nawaz, who earned the Player of the Series award for his 10 wickets. His consistency pushed him up 13 spots to 30th in the latest ICC T20I rankings.
New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy continues to hold the No.1 position.
