Girls VS Boys in BISE Gujranwala 12th Class Results 2025 – Who is More Intelligent?

Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala reveals a clear performance gap between male and female students. Across every academic stream, both regular and private, female candidates outperformed their male counterparts, continuing a consistent trend from previous years.

Overall Pass Percentage

According to the official data:

  • Boys (All Groups Combined): 20,358 appeared, 10,309 passed – 50.65%
  • Girls (All Groups Combined): 68,797 appeared, 51,963 passed – 75.52%
  • Combined Total: 89,155 appeared, 62,272 passed – 69.83%

The numbers highlight a performance gap of nearly 25 percentage points between male and female students in the overall pass percentage.

Regular Candidates Performance

Pre-Medical Group

  • Male: 2,863 appeared, 2,191 passed – 76.53%
  • Female: 2,768 appeared, 2,397 passed – 86.60%

Pre-Engineering Group

  • Male: 2,254 appeared, 1,703 passed – 75.56%
  • Female: 2,925 appeared, 2,430 passed – 83.06%

Humanities Group

  • Male: 7,678 appeared, 5,141 passed – 66.96%
  • Female: 20,565 appeared, 17,179 passed – 83.54%

General Science Group

  • Male: 4,990 appeared, 3,663 passed – 73.41%

Commerce Group

  • Male: 1,464 appeared, 768 passed – 52.46%
  • Female: 3,767 appeared, 2,441 passed – 64.80%

  • Female: 2,324 appeared, 1,693 passed – 72.84%

Gender Gap in Academic Performance

Female students outperformed male students in every major group. The difference was most pronounced in humanities and pre-medical, where girls recorded significantly higher success rates. In commerce and general science, the female edge was also consistent, reinforcing the overall trend across the Gujranwala Board.
