A man in Sharjah, UAE, has been abusing and killing kittens in a local restaurant called House of Grill in Abu Shagara. The man was caught on CCTV footage after the restaurant staff kept discovering dead kittens at the premises.
The disturbing pattern urged the restaurant manager to review security cameras, where he was horrified to see footage of a man brutally attacking cats. The CCTV footage shows the man carefully scanning his surroundings to make sure no one was watching, after which he hurled the kittens with force, stomping on them and slamming them against nearby surfaces.
In one of the clips, the man leaves the scene after viciously attacking a kitten, glancing around as the injured animal lies writhing on the ground. On both days, he appears in the same clothing.
The restaurant manager, Rasheed, spoke to Khaleej Times, saying:
There was no blood found on the cats’ bodies. That’s when we suspected something unnatural and decided to check the CCTV cameras. This incident occurred in the early hours, when children are typically waiting for school buses. It was extremely cruel, and the man should be caught. Whether animals or humans, it’s all the same.
The unidentified man seen in security cameras may also be responsible for other cat killings in the area, as this is not the first time such an incident has been reported. Several other cats have been found either dead or injured in the area.
