The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a major enforcement drive targeting Qingqi rickshaw drivers, overcrowded vehicles, and traffic rule violations across the city.
The decision was taken during a meeting at the DIG Traffic Karachi office, which was attended by senior traffic officers and representatives of transport associations. Officials agreed that no Qingqi rickshaw would be allowed to carry more than five passengers, while strict action would be taken against double parking, overspeeding, and one-way violations.
The meeting also decided to educate drivers on traffic regulations to prevent accidents and improve compliance. Authorities said all actions will be implemented through the faceless e-challan system to ensure transparency and fairness.
Transport representatives appreciated the e-ticketing system and pledged full cooperation. Both sides also agreed to organize joint training programs for drivers to improve discipline on the roads.
In another major decision, it was made mandatory for all minibuses and coaches in Karachi to install GPS tracking devices by October 27, 2025.

more strictness means more bribe.
