Indians are fuming as police in Karnataka have launched an investigation after a local bank’s Wi-Fi network appeared under the name “Pakistan Zindabad.”
The incident occurred at the Jigani Kallubalu Co-operative Bank in Bengaluru Urban district. Authorities said the issue surfaced on Tuesday morning when a man named Govardhan Singh noticed the unusual Wi-Fi name while inside the bank and promptly lodged a complaint.
According to police, the bank’s Wi-Fi system was under repair at the time, and a local technician had been called in to fix it. However, after the network name change was discovered, the technician had already left the premises, and his mobile phone was found switched off.
Police are currently trying to locate the technician to determine his involvement.
Following Singh’s complaint, officials registered a case and began investigating whether the Wi-Fi name change was a prank or a deliberate attempt to trigger Indians.
