Major Update on New Pakistan Football League

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced plans to introduce a new national football league, marking a major step toward revitalizing the sport in the country.

In an official notice, the PFF invited interested organizations and investors to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) along with detailed proposals to become partners in the league. The deadline for submission has been set for December 6, 2025.

The federation aims to establish a professional, competitive, and sustainable league system that will help promote local talent and elevate the standard of football across Pakistan.

Further details regarding the league’s structure, format, and evaluation criteria for partners are expected to be shared after the proposal deadline.

Earlier this month, the PFF entered into a landmark collaboration with FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to enhance Pakistan’s football infrastructure. The partnership includes projects such as establishing a national training facility, building FIFA-funded mini-pitches across the country, and developing a new academy system to nurture youth talent and professional coaching standards.
