The cost of the Punjab Mass Transit System’s T-Cash Card has reportedly doubled, making travel more expensive for daily commuters, according to City42 news channel.
The provincial transport department has increased the price of the card used for Metro Bus and Orange Line Train travel. A delivery fee of Rs. 130 has been added to the existing Rs. 130 card price, effectively raising the total cost to Rs. 260.
As a result, passengers are now required to pay both the card amount and the newly imposed delivery charges themselves. The decision affects commuters across Lahore and other Punjab cities where the mass transit system operates.
According to the report, the additional fee will place a financial burden on regular passengers who rely on the Metro Bus and Orange Line Train for daily travel.
